Because when we say, "Welcome," we mean it-from the front door to the last "amen."
More Than a Welcome: A Call to Inclusion
The idea of inclusion isn't a trend. It's a practice that's rooted in love, sustained by faith. And it asks us to consider:
- Who's not in this room, and why?
- Who is in this room, but still feels unseen?
- What would it look like for every person to feel truly at home in worship?

Is your sanctuary accessible for folks with mobility aids? Are there options for those with hearing or vision needs? These aren’t extras—they’re everyday ways we reflect God’s care.

Our worship is richer when it mirrors the beauty of our people. That means drawing from the depth of Black musical traditions, honoring intergenerational voices, and lifting up cultural expressions that speak to the heart.

Use Words That Open Doors
Language shapes experience, regardless if we’re preaching, praying, or simply greeting someone, our words can be bridges. Let’s be mindful of how we speak—and who we speak for.

Foster Real Connection
True welcome goes beyond the pulpit. It shows up in how we build relationships. Small groups, fellowship meals, prayer partnerships—these are just a few ways we nurture belonging across generations and stories.
Why It Matters
This isn’t about doing more. It’s about being more present.
When our worship creates space for the fullness of God’s people, something sacred happens.
